Isle of Wight Masterchef Competition: All welcome to take part

To celebrate British Food Fortnight IW Young Farmers Club are throwing a Masterchef Competition.

The competition, which is open to everyone, aims to show the club is a “Harvest Hero” in The Telegraph’s and Love British Foods Harvest Heroes Campaign.

Open to all
The competition is open to everyone (£2 per class) and prizes will be given for each class as well as a special best in show.

Classes are:

  • Best Pie
  • Best Cake
  • Best Sandwich
  • Best Isle of Wight (using only Island produce) and
  • Best of British (a chance to be creative!!)

The judges
The entries will be judged by Graham Biss, IWYFC President from the Royal IW Agricultural Society, Isle of Wight High Sheriff, Ron Holland and Judi Griffin from Briddlesford Farm.

Where and when
The competition starts at 7pm on Thursday 1st October at The Blacksmiths Arms on Calbourne Road.

Judging starts promptly at 7.30pm and those wishing to enter should have their complete dishes on the table before that.

All proceeds go to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
