Across the water (that very large bit between here and the US, not the Solent), it appears that the safety of a nuclear power plant in Isle of Wight County is one of the subjects for discussion at a meeting being held next week by the Isle of Wight Citizens Association.
Seeing this news in the Daily Press today, reminded us of David Pugh’s comment about nuclear power when we broke the news of the Cheverton Down wind turbine application.
“Do we want a Nuclear powerstation as was proposed for Newtown a few decades ago or wind turbines up on the hills?”
We see that the US IW Group group will also be discussing whether the county government spending is out of control.
The parallels between Isle of Wight UK and Isle of Wight US continue to interest us here at VentnorBlog.
