Next weekend (starting 2nd June) is the celebration of Queen Elizabeth having been on the throne for seventy years.
To mark this there will be an extended weekend starting on Thursday 2nd June and running through to Sunday 5th, that is being called the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Lots going on
There are loads and loads of events being put on all over the Island.
We appreciate the effort and energy that the Isle of Wight council put into gathering a bunch of info together, but in the format they had them in, we found it hard to explore the events.
To make things easier for readers we’ve taken that info and added them to all of the other events that have already been added into Events OnTheWight, the Island’s highest ranked dedicated event site.
