Isle of Wight Police appeal after man left with suspected fractured hip and leg injury at car boot fair

Isle of Wight Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault at a car boot sale at Sandown Airport today (Saturday 26th June).

The incident happened at the entrance to the airfield at the Scotchells Brook Lane and the A3056 Newport Road junction.

Silver Mercedes 4×4
During the incident a man in his fifties who was working at the event suffered a suspected fractured hip and leg injury.

Officers wish to identify and speak to the driver of a silver Mercedes 4×4 seen leaving shortly afterwards in the direction of Newport.
