Isle of Wight Police seek witnesses after serious motorcycle collision in Newport

Isle of Wight Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the Isle of Wight.

We were called to a report that at approximately 8.45pm yesterday (15th August) a silver Honda motorcycle had collided with the safety barrier on Medina Way at the junction with Dodnor Lane in Newport.

Sustained serious injuries
The rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old man from Newport, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. His family have been made aware.

We are now asking for anyone with information about the collision who has not already spoken to police to come forward.
