Proposed tourist attraction launches crowdfunder appeal

A new, all-weather tourist attraction is planned at the site of the former Isle of Wight Aquarium, which closed its doors in November 2015.

The Isle of Wight Reptilarium will be based at Fort Victoria Country Park in West Wight and work has started already to convert the former fort to a new home for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.

£25,000 crowdfunding appeal
A 25 year lease on the building has been signed and a crowdfunding appeal launched, aiming to raise £25,000 by the end of January 2017.

If you pledge to support the attraction will be rewarded with free tickets, private viewing events, sponsorship of the arches and more.

Helping future generations
Those behind the project say they hope to help those looking to study Animal Care, by providing work placements, as well as traineeships and apprenticeships in conjunction with Island Training providers.
