Over the last ten years Bryony Rust has been supporting children with communication

Bryony has now formed SaLT by the Sea, a new Speech and Language Therapy service (that’s where the SaLT comes from) on the Isle of Wight offering support to children in speech sound production; vocabulary use; sentence construction; comprehension and social interaction.

As an independent Speech and Language Therapist, Bryony works with children to assess their individual strengths and areas of need, agree targets with parents and school, before working directly with each child using engaging activities and giving specific homework.

Bryony’s previous post was working for Hampshire County Council to set up an early communication support service, where she was fortunate enough to work with a huge range of professionals who work tirelessly to support children under five.
She’s very excited to be able to provide the same type of support for the Island.
