Isle of Wight wellness brand raises £4,800 for Mountbatten through Christmas candle sales

Last updated:

Donations from the sales of Christmas candles, created by Island wellness brand, All Well & Good, raised £4,800 for Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

The Yuletide candle was sold at festive events and in selected shops, in November and December.

Handmade with heart
Handmade in small batches, with plant waxes and natural fragrance, orange and mandarin were combined with comforting cinnamon, cloves and winter spices to create an unmistakably festive scent to bring comfort and joy, said the brand’s co-founders, Leighton Atchison-Warne and Neil Clark.

For each candle sold, All Well & Good donated a minimum £10 to Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

‘A real privilege’
Presenting their cheque to Helen O’Brien, Head of Fundraising, and Mountbatten CEO, Becky McGregor, Leighton and Neil said,

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and, in doing so, helped raise much-needed funds for Mountbatten. Over the past year in particular, we’ve become more aware than ever of the incredible work they do and the care they give to families, when it matters most.

“To be able to give something back in this way feels like a real privilege for us both, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.”

The pair continue to work with Mountbatten on new projects in 2026.

‘Partnerships like this are hugely valuable’
Head of Fundraising, Helen O’Brien, said,

“Thank you, Leighton and Neil. Partnerships like this are hugely valuable to Mountbatten Isle of Wight and to the people we care for.

“They play a vital role in helping the Island’s only hospice raise the funds it needs to ensure our expert staff can continue to deliver kind and compassionate end-of-life care.”
