“It happened like this…..” is a storytelling workshop taking place at the end of the month in Newport.
This is for everyone who has a little experience in storytelling whether just for fun or in health, church, or educational setting.
Its main focus will be on engaging and holding an audience, the use of rhythm and repetition,and the importance of timing.
The workshop is being led by Chris Bennett, a Southampton based professional storyteller, performance poet and actor who delivers training in these areas.
Chris is also a published writer and illustrator.
The event takes place at the Riverside Centre, Newport on Sunday 25th January between 10am -12.30pm.
Cost £5 payable on the day.
This event is being organised by the Island Storytellers, a group of people who meet on a monthly basis to swap stories and promote storytelling.
