The team behind the IW Pannier Market is pleased to announce the dates and venues for their Christmas 2010 micro markets.
Many Island producers have been keen to be involved and, among others, the Pannier team has been working closely with the organisers of the Isle of Wight Artists’ Open Studios, so there will be a good range of locally produced art, crafts and food.
The Pannier team intends the events to be a showcase for some of the Island’s hidden gems. Don’t miss out – meet the producers and find some unique gifts and tasty treats!
A taste of future plans
These markets will also be an opportunity for Islanders to experience what is planned for the ‘big push’ next year and with the Pannier team on hand to answer questions about the long-term project – as well as presenting some of their own products – visitors to the events will be able hear first hand what is planned for 2011.
Briddlesford Lodge Farm 11th/12th
The Briddlesford cafe and farm shop will be open as usual on both dates. Already a popular destination, Briddlesford and Pannier want these events to enhance their customers’ experience.
IW Steam Railway, Havenstreet
The IW Steam Railway at Havenstreet are running their ever popular Santa Specials throughout the festive season and over the weekend 18th and 19th Dec. The Pannier market will be situated within the station yard, as part of the Santa Special Experience (entrance will be restricted to holders of Santa Special tickets), adding to what is always a lovely step back in time to the age of steam.
The Pannier team is very pleased to be working closely with Briddlesford and Havenstreet both of whom have been extremely supportive of the Pannier project and the core values in supporting local enterprise through ‘marketplace’.
