IW Scouts Put On Photo And Memorabilia Display In Newport Shop

Thanks to Malcolm sending through latest news from the Isle of Wight Scouts. In his own words. Ed

Scouts outside Carphone WarehouseThe owners of the old Carphone Warehouse shop opposite Boots in Newport have allowed Isle of Wight Scouts to put a display of photographs and Scout Memorabilia in their empty shop window. The display shows a mix of photographs, both old and new and from the Island or beyond.

If you’re passing the window, why not look and see if you recognise any of our ex-Scouts. While you’re there, take a good look at the photos. You’ll see Scouts of all ages, from six to 96, and they’re all enjoying the Scouting adventure … and having FUN.

We need your help
With over 1,100 Young People in Scouting on the Island we need YOUR assistance to help them to develop to their full potential.

We’ve made it easier for adults to volunteer as much or as little time as they can spare – a few hours a week as a leader or a few hours a month as a helper or active supporter. It’s how best we change our society: lots of people doing a little bit at a time. We give full leadership training, training that will look good on any cv.
