Joe Duckworth chairs annual Isle of Wight Wildlife Day

An event taking place on the Isle of Wight this coming Saturday (22nd) sees the return to the Island of not only wildlife-loving rockstar, Brian May, but also former IWC chief executive, Joe Duckworth.

Joe, who is now the Chief Executive of the League Against Cruel Sports, will chair the event that takes place at the Riverside Centre between 10am-7pm.

Guest speakers
The seventh Isle Of Wight Annual Wildlife Day is set to be bigger than ever with a thrilling line up of speakers including: the legendary Queen Guitarist and founder of Save Me, Brian May (listen to our interview with Brian); Dave Williams, Chairman of The Badger Trust; Mark Jones, Veterinarian Executive Director, Humane Society International; IOW Bat Hospital; WSPA; RSPCA and the British Marine Divers Rescue, plus many more still to be confirmed.

Lots for the family
We seemed to have missed this event in previous years but understand there’s lots to do for all the family, with stalls and demonstrations from an exciting range of animal charities, animal face painting, competitions and the chance to see some of our furry bat friends and hedgehogs too!
