Join a night of talent and charity with Platform One’s showcase for Wessex Cancer Support

Arrive intrigued, leave inspired as Platform One partner with Wessex Cancer Support to bring the Island a unique evening of upcoming talent, innovative performances and inspiring creations in Newport on Friday 17th May.

Platform One, the boutique education provider specialising in high quality education for the creative industries, and nurturing the music and fashion giants of the future, have encouraged the students to choose a collaboration partner for their biggest showcase yet.

Charity chosen by students
Having learnt of the free services provided by Wessex Cancer Support, the students chose the charity to benefit from their evening of entertainment.

Wessex Cancer Support provides personalised emotional and wellbeing support for Islanders affected by cancer. As well as their Newport Support Centre on Lugley Street, they also provide a Daisy Bus service to take Islanders to mainland hospital appointments. The students are passionate and dedicated to helping raise vital funds for the charity through showcasing their work to the Island community.

Where and when
The event will be held on Friday 17th May at GGs Bar and Restaurant, inside their giant venue hall.

As well as enjoying performances from the music students, the fashion department will debut a variety of collections on the catwalk, exclusive to ticket holders.

Busking to raise funds
The students will be out busking over the next couple of months in various locations, including Wightlink ferries and the Red Funnel terminal, to raise money to decorate the hall for the evening.

There will also be a raffle held on the evening with some great music and fashion related items, along with other prizes.
