Wessex Cancer Support is delighted to confirm that its much-loved Family Funday will return to Tesco Extra in Ryde on Saturday 16th May, refreshed and relaunched for 2026 as Wessex Day.
A day of live music and performances
The event will run from 10am to 4pm and promises a full day of entertainment, activities, and community connection in support of Islanders affected by cancer.
This year’s Wessex Day will feature a vibrant programme of live music and performances throughout the day, with appearances from:
- Raw Samba
- Emilia
- Ruby Bodenham
- Baron Fortitude
- Cara Goodrem
- Amy Joliffe (pictured)
- TheatreTrain
- Hannah The Vintage Songbird
Games, magic and storytelling for all ages
Alongside the entertainment, families can enjoy games, magic from Naturally Nick, & Story Telling from Kathryn Rossati
Support and information on the day
Wessex Cancer Support will also be on hand to share information about the charity’s free emotional and practical support services, including how local people on the Isle of Wight can access counselling, wellbeing activities, and community support when facing a cancer diagnosis.
Wessex Day aims to bring the community together, raise awareness of the charity’s work and raise vital income for the charity, which receives no government funding. With thanks to Tesco’s Ryde and Aspire for their Support.
