A cupcake tea break in aid of Ovarian Cancer hopes to raise funds and much needed awareness later this month.

Join the Cupcake Tea Break For Ovarian CancerTaking place at St Wilfred’s Primary School in Ventnor, organisers of the event are appealing to local residents and businesses to donate prizes for the raffle as well as cakes.

  • There are around 6,600 new cases of ovarian cancer diagnosed each year in the UK, that is around 125 women every week.
  • Ovarian cancer is more common in women who have been through the menopause: more than 8 in 10 new cases are diagnosed in women aged over 50 years.
  • Worldwide, there are more than 204,000 new cases of ovarian cancer diagnosed each year.
