A new Island event, brought to you by the Isle of Wight Round Table, is taking place along Cowes Esplanade on Saturday 4th April at 11am.
Families, children, dogs, runners, and bunny enthusiasts of all ages are invited to take part in a brand new Easter Bunny Hop charity fun run, set against the stunning backdrop of the picturesque West Cowes seafront, starting and finishing at Gurnard Sailing Club.
Supporting Tidal Family Support
The fun-filled community event will bring together residents and visitors for a light-hearted run along the iconic waterfront, all in support of Tidal Family Support, a multi-award-winning community based, not-for-profit, child-focused charity that works with families who are directly impacted by separation or divorce.
Participants are encouraged to don their best Easter-themed costumes or pastel running gear (Bunny ears are provided), as they hop, jog, or stroll their way along the scenic 2km or 4km route.
Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the Easter Bunny Hop welcomes participants of all abilities, from seasoned athletes, families with young children to the leisurely dog walkers.
Supporters
The Easter Bunny Hop is proudly sponsored by Red Funnel Ferries, Diamond Adventures, Go Internet, Snap Fitness, and Wadhams Cafe/Bar, whose generous backing will help ensure that as much money as possible is directed straight to Tidal Family Support.
Funds raised from entry fees, sponsorships, and on-the-day donations will go directly towards sustaining the essential services provided by Tidal Family Support.
Palin: A wonderful opportunity for the community to come together
Mike Palin, Isle of Wight Round Table member and event organiser, says the run is about more than just fundraising.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate Easter, and make a meaningful difference to families right here on the Isle of Wight.
“With the beautiful Cowes seafront as our setting and the support of our fantastic local sponsors, we’re hoping this will become a much-loved annual tradition.”
Charity raffle
In addition to the run itself, the event will feature a charity raffle, complimentary Easter chocolate goodies, and superb family photo opportunities.
There is also a great pub and family play park at the start/ finish location, so lots to do for the whole family.
