There was a considerable turn out at St Thomas’ Church in Newport this afternoon, seeing 150-200 people say their farewells to Kevin Mitchell.
Touching addresses by friend, Alan, from Kevin’s previous home, Scunthorpe and Kevin’s sister, Lynne, gave more details to those of us who have only know of Kevin since he arrive on the Island a few years ago.

Kevin’s close connection to the ‘Laughter through tears’ theatre group that puts on productions and raises money for cancer research – to the tune of an impressive £55,000 so far.
The overriding impression was that of a person who had touched many people’s lives through his enthusiasm, generosity and Love.
Clearly someone who will be sorely missed
