Local Ventnor wonder Womble Wendy has contacted OnTheWight with a sad tale.
She was carrying out a litter pick yesterday (Wednesday) around Smuggler’s Haven car park, Ventnor when she happened across a sad sight.
It was under the greenery that she found a deceased black cat – Wendy tell us that often when a sick feline knows they’re nearly at the end, they might take themselves away somewhere.
Finding the owner
Wendy got in touch with OnTheWight in an attempt to try and find the owner of the poor thing.
Wendy describes the all-black cat as youngish. She thinks it might have been there for a few days.
She retrieved the body to avoid the foxes getting interested. She’ll retain it for the next few days, in hope the owners get in touch, failing that will try and get its chip read.
