As mentioned in our posting about Teresa Grimaldi’s forthcoming Vacated Works exhibition at Quay Arts, this weekend sees the the transformation of a derelict ice cream kiosk on the Lake cliff top.
Teresa and her sister who ran the kiosk in the 1980s hold fond memories of the place and on bank holiday Monday (weather permitting) will be re-creating the La Banane experience.
There are plans for the evolution of the installation to be filmed by local film-maker David George, but members of the public are very welcome to poop down and see how things are going.
It’ll also be a great opportunity to chat with the artist prior to her Quay Arts exhibition.
Don’t forget to day where you heard about it.
