Ladies Day Raise Over £1,500 for Cancer Charity

Congratulations to Emma Muncaster from East Cowes brainchild of the debut Ladies Day held at Cowes Yacht Haven last weekend.

The Yacht Haven was a hive of activity as 400+ islanders took advantage of the live entertainment and demos, not to mention around 40 stalls selling jewellery, art, cosmetics and flowers.

We understand that there were belly dancing demos as well as a catwalk show.

The event raised more than £1,500 for CLIC Sargent, the children’s cancer charity.

28 year old Emma said: “A lot of my friends had signed up to do a trek in Thailand for CLIC Sargent and through that I heard a lot about the support the charity gives to children and their families. I really wanted to take part in the trek but as a mum-of-two with three jobs it was just impossible for me to do. Instead, I decided to do my own thing for the charity and organised the Ladies’ Day. I’m so happy that I’ve raised this amount for CLIC Sargent, it makes all the hard work worthwhile!”

Special thanks go out to Nicola from Cowes Yacht Haven, Coast and Country, Mike at New Media Fusion, Blushing Blooms and Visual Impact for their involvement.
