Lake Parish Council, who have recently dedicated their flagpole to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, will be holding a memorial service in honour of the late Queen this week.
The memorial service takes place at Thearl’s Green (opposite the Stag Inn Pub), Newport Road, Lake from 11am on Friday 16th September 2022.
For anyone who wishes to attend, the laying of flowers will be part of the service.

- Members of Lake Parish Council, led by Vice Chair, Cllr Adrian Whittaker
- Members of Shanklin Town Council, led by Mayor, Chris Quirk
- Representative of the Isle Of Wight Lord Lieutenant
- Representatives of Shanklin Fire Service
- Teachers and children from Broadlea School
Personal memories, prayers, laying of flowers and two minute silence will be included in the memorial service to pay tribute to Her Majesty The Queen, who died on Thursday 8th September 2022.
