Five candidates will contest the Isle of Wight Council by-election in Lake North on Thursday 2nd October 2025.
The by-election follows the resignation of Reform councillor, David Maclean.
Who stands for election
- Bob Blezzard will represent the Liberal Democrats. He lives in Perowne Way, Sandown.
- Christopher Lloyd will stand for the Labour Party. He lives in Victoria Avenue, Shanklin.
- Robert Peter will run as the Green Party candidate. He lives in Victoria Road, Sandown.
- Bill Nigh will represent the Reform Party. His address is not provided, but he lives within the Isle of Wight Council area.
- Adrian Charles Whittaker will contest for the Conservative Party. He lives on Sandown Road, Shanklin.

Lake North covers parts of Sandown and Shanklin, with a population of roughly 3,456 residents.
Electoral forecasters estimate the ward has an electorate of approximately 2,887 voters.
Lake North emerged under the revised ward boundaries introduced for the 2021 Isle of Wight Council election.
