Landslip closes footpath

Diversion is in place following landslip along footpath.

Footpath closed

Island Roads have just announced an emergency closure of the Public Footpath N122 in Whippingham from Island Harbour to The Folly.

The closure, due to a landslip, will be in force from today until Tuesday 17th May 2016 or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

The diversion route for pedestrians will be: Mill Lane, A3054 Fairlee Road, East Cowes, Road, Whippingham Road and Folly Lane.

Good luck getting your footpath reopened!

The Longdown Steps in Ventnor have been closed for very nearly two years with very little sign of any work being done.
