Anyone in town who has got to know me since I moved here, will know that (when I have the time and am well enough) I like to throw myself into things going on in town and spread the word at the same time.

I came across a flyer for this workshop and it sounds brilliant … forget recovering from your over-indulgent saturday night by curling up on the sofa massaging your hangover … get out of the house and down to the Community Projects who are running lantern making workshops on Sunday afternoons between 2-4pm, starting 13 November for five weeks.

Your lantern will take between two to three sessions to make, the cost is only £3 and you get to keep your masterpiece and take part in grand Lantern Parade through Ventnor on Saturday 17th December.

For further info write to me at ventnorblog@gmail.com and I’ll point you in the right direction.

P.S. I came across this image when searching google images for lanterns … it doesn’t really resemble a lantern but I love it anyway.
