Swing Fundraiser For The Ectopic Pregnancy TrustShelley Peach, a volunteer for Trust has organised an evening of Las Vegas-style Swing at Northwood House in Cowes next week.

Appearing will be the Bob Howarth Big Band, Richard Quigley and even a casino to give that Vegas feel to the event.

All of the profits from the evening will go to the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust.

Tickets are £10 each in advance available from Music Central, Carisbrooke Road, Newport & Yellow Brick Road, St James St, Newport.

They will also be available on the night at £12.

Background on The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust
The Trust was established in 1998 by Ruth and John Winter.

They launched the Trust in the memory of their 34 year old daughter Sophie, who sadly died from a misdiagnosed ectopic pregnancy. The aim of the Trust is to raise awareness of ectopic pregnancies amongst women of childbearing age, the medical profession and the general public.

Ectopic pregnancy affects 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK. There are at least 6.500 recorded emergency admissions for the condition in England alone and the number of ectopic pregnancies and deaths (approximately 5 per year) caused by this condition has not fallen in the past 20 years – in fact the incidence is rising.
