Abstract artwork showing boats on the water by Sara Kouvaritatis

Last chance to see work by Sara Kouvaritatis – never to be shown again

The Sara K Memorial Art Exhibition currently showing at the Ryde Library will close on Wednesday 31st August.

Curator Mo Martin says that this final collection of her work will never be shown together again.

Impossible to keep the collection together
Lack of exhibition space and galleries booked several years in advance make it impossible to keep the collection together.

Mo Martin’s commitment to her friend and extraordinary artist, Sara Kouvaritatis, has been to make her work available to the Ryde community and the many people who have seen it and admired it.

Dazzling colour, rich surfaces and her perception of light and movement emerging from the painting together with her unique imagination, defy categorisation.

Rich in detail
Her children’s pictures, based on fairy stories, poems and her own particular sense of humour, are rich in detail which she transposes into lively three dimensions in her papier-mache maquettes.

On Saturday 27th August, prices marked on the pictures will be reduced substantially.  Not to be missed.
