Tonight sees the last Ventnor Town Council meeting before the elections take place on 4th June.
The nomination list for candidates standing in Ventnor has already raised quite a bit of debate on our analysis article, so it will be interesting to see whether any members of the public attend this last meeting, perhaps to get a flavour of what happens at these meetings or to see how their prospective councillor acts on their behalf.
Agenda
We understand that there will be a number of councillor absences tonight due to training and holidays, but judging by the agenda, for those attending the meeting shouldn’t be too long.
Following the report of the Environment and Neighbourhoods Office and the Police, a reply from the IWC regarding the formal complaint by the TC regarding the lack of consultation over the works at the Eastern Esplanade.
Local List Missing?
We had expected to see an agenda item regarding the Local List that Councillor Robinson requested be added at the last meeting, but it appears to have been left off.
The meeting starts at 6.30pm sharp in the lower meeting room (under the stage) at the back of the Winter Gardens.
Plans Committee
Following the TC meeting will be the Plans Committee.
Councillors will be considering an application from St Wilfred’s School to demolish the church which was damaged by fire some years ago.
