Anyone following the lineup announcements for the Isle of Wight Festival will know that hip-hop artist, Jay-Z, is headlining the main stage tomorrow night.
Some love it, some hate it, but we’ve all heard his track Empire State of the Mind – and probably had Alisha Keys’ lyrics stuck in our heads for the rest of the day.
You know the one, “In New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made, Oh”.
Well, for a bit of a wheeze, we thought it’d be good to see if we (the Island) could get Jay-Z to switch the lyrics around and include Newport instead of New York when the track is performed tomorrow night. After all he will be singing it in Newport!
