This from Aviv Goode, a Wroxall mum. Ed
Wroxall Primary has opened its doors for the new school year. Many returned, some after a rather short summer break, while others after a few months following turmoil and school changes which were not anyone’s first choice.
Others joined Wroxall Primary for the first time, something which the school and community are grateful for.
Good Ofsted rating
This beginning is not only sweetened by the prospect of security for the school’s future, but also by the immense achievement of a Good Ofsted rating following an inspection with short notice in the heat of the summer.
As parents, we are eternally grateful and proud of the hard work undertaken by school management and staff to achieve this rating, in a time of such turmoil.
Hats off to all
Hats off to the headteacher Miss Hopkinson who was tasked above and beyond the normal remit- running a school, planning for closure, fighting closure, and preparing for Ofsted, all in her first year at Wroxall.
To the staff and governors of Wroxall Primary, we hope this year brings more certainty and hope, more smiling faces, a chance to take a breath and soak up all of your hard work.
Well done to all of you and thank you for doing such an incredible job for our children and community.
Fun Run for the school
The PTFA have organised a Fun Run for the school – this is your chance to show your support and help raise funds for our wonderful school.
