Following the filing of a legal challenge by a group of Islanders against the Isle of Wight council for their planned closure of Island libraries, news of similar action over that water is being reported.
Groups from two other counties, Gloucestershire, whose council plans to close 10 libraries and Somerset whose council plans to withdraw funding for 11 libraries, have had Public Interest Lawyers issue a claim to the High Court against the councils.
