Light UP Youth Theatre opens its doors this autumn with a brand-new season of creativity, confidence-building, and performance-making for young people across the Island.
Where and when
Starting the week beginning 15th September, classes will be held at Department, Ryde, providing a welcoming space for aspiring performers to develop their skills and imagination.
This term, Juniors (ages 7–11) will meet on Tuesdays, while Seniors (ages 12–16) will gather on Fridays with both companies running from 5pm-7pm.
What to expect
Both groups will spend the first half of the term enjoying fun, engaging activities that focus on teamwork, creativity, and performance skills before moving on to exciting theatre-making projects.
The Juniors will be devising their very own original piece of theatre titled Head in the Clouds. Inspired by the hopes, dreams, and ambitions of the young company members, the piece will bring their ideas to life in an imaginative, heartfelt production.

Meanwhile, the Seniors will be taking on the challenge of working with a published script, giving them valuable experience in interpreting text, developing characters and staging a play.
