For anyone interested in the outcome of the application for variation of conditions attached to the Cheetah Marine application, you’ll be pleased to hear that that Simon will be reporting live from County Hall tonight, as it is discussed by the Planning Committee.
Spare a thought for the Planning Committee officers, whose meeting started at 2pm today and looks likely to be running very late into the night.
We’ve been informed that Cheetah Marine’s application is scheduled to be discussed at around 7.15pm.

It’s great to see that the planning officers involved, have made wise and well considered recommendations with regard to refusal of changing Condition 14 as below ….
Refuse to vary Condition 14 on P/02013/06 for the following reason:
To delete all references of land uses other than the provision of toilet and shower facilities for Ventnor Haven users from Condition 14 of planning permission P/02013/06 would not be in accordance with the mixed use ethos for this building and therefore would be contrary to the aims of the Ventnor Esplanade Development Brief.
