Vernon Square Summer Party 2026

Live music, raffles and Pimm’s mark Vernon Square’s summer celebration

Sizzling temperatures brought the crowds out in force for the Vernon Square Conservation Society’s annual Summer Party in Vernon Square, Ryde.

All funds raised on the day support the not-for-profit community organisation’s upkeep of the town’s popular gardens, open for all to enjoy, free of charge, every day from Spring to Autumn.

Music and refreshments draw the crowds
For a modest £3 entry to the Party visitors enjoyed non-stop live music and singing from Vectis Brass, The Rug Band and legendary talent The Watch.

Thirst quenching Pimm’s, homemade lemonade, Italian lager, wine and Prosecco alongside an enticing selection of home-made cakes kept most people energised to stay the course and enjoy relaxing in the delightful garden setting.

Other distractions included the Book Stall and the Vernon Square famed super prize raffle.

Raffle prizes from local businesses
Top notch prizes this year donated by local businesses included a dining voucher from award winning restaurant RT Grill, gift vouchers from fashion favourite Mia and lingerie/ swimwear specialist Sugar and Spice, a cinema trip for a family of four from the local Ryde Commodore, top tipple Mermaid Gin, delectable sharing platter from Pickle and Dill, BBQ essential, and made in Ryde, Bloody Hell Sauce and a giant basket of summer fruits from The Vegetable Cart.
