The gallery’s first exhibition features the work of local photographer Stacey H. Hughes.

Exhibition dates and artist reception
The exhibition runs from Thursday 1st May to Tuesday 13th May.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet Stacey H. Hughes at a reception on Saturday afternoon, 3rd May 2025.

This event offers a chance to hear directly from the artist about her inspiration and techniques.

Local photographer showcases unique style
Stacey H. Hughes specialises in digital and multiple exposure photography.

Many of her subjects come from the Isle of Wight, capturing familiar scenes with a distinctive approach.

Her use of multiple exposure techniques gives many of her photographs a painterly quality, blurring the line between photography and fine art.

New space for art in Ventnor
Mark Cosby has created ’44’ to provide a platform for local artists and to enrich Ventnor’s cultural life.

The gallery’s central High Street location makes it easily accessible for both residents and visitors.

The launch of ’44’ marks an exciting addition to the Island’s growing arts scene.
