Loving tribute from Carisbrooke family following fatal motorcycle collision

Following a fatal collision on the Isle of Wight, the family of a motorcyclist who died has paid tribute to him.

Police were called at 3.23pm on Wednesday 16th August to reports of a single vehicle collision on Military Road near to Whale Chine.

A blue Honda motorcycle left the carriageway and came to rest in a roadside ditch. The motorcyclist, 70-year-old Robert Forman from Carisbrooke, suffered serious injuries and sadly died.

Tribute to husband, father and grandfather
His family are being supported by specialist officers and have now decided to release the following statement:

“My husband Robert Ian Forman, fondly known as Ian, was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

“He was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.”
