News reaches us that Island band, Lucid have fought off the stiff competition to win a slot playing alongside popular folk hottie, Seth Lakeman, at this year’s RibFest event next month.
We understand that following the public vote, a live battle was supposed to take place.
Although we’ve not received the official word, we’ve been told by those involved that it appears two of the bands in the final were unable to make the live playoff because it was being held in the daytime.
Given this, we’ve been told that the judges decided to base their decision on listening to the tracks submitted by the bands, looked at their live experience, how long they’d been together, etc.
Lucid will be joining Swans In Flight in providing support for Seth on the night.
