Just before 2am this morning (Thursday) Hampshire Constabulary received a report that a 22-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted at the cemetery in Newport.
Police confirm to OnTheWight this morning that they’re conducting enquiries and a 21-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Update 9.5.2014:
Police advise,
“The 21-year-old man arrested in connection with this incident has been bailed until July 31, pending further enquiries.”
