Maplin, who have a large shop next to Cineworld in Newport, has, it’s been reported, been put up for sale by the private equity group that owns them.
The Independent reports that the price that Montagu Private Equity has put on the sale of the electronics retailer is at least £100m.
The paper says the sale could reach as much as £200m.
