With less than two weeks to go before bids to take over the Winter Gardens have to be with the Isle of Wight Council, the Ventnor Winter Gardens Rescue Group have organised a drop in session this Friday for anyone who wants to know more about their plans.
Members of the Group will be in St Catherine’s Church in Church Street from midday until 4pm where they will be explaining how they intend to improve the building, and how they see it being used.
How you can get involved
As they will be doing this within a charitable trust, they will be able to explain how this will work and how the whole community can get involved.
The group are currently asking for pledges from people in the town, and they will be able to talk about how this is going, and there will be an opportunity to pledge money or services, should the bid succeed.
If successful the group are planning to have the building reopened sometime in June for the summer season.
More information about the group and their plans are at Winter Gardens Rescue Group Website.
