You don’t need us to tell you that there’s been some heavy rain overnight, but the Met Office’s severe weather warning for Heavy Rain says it’s set to continue for the rest of the day.
The warning is valid from 0200 until 1800 on Monday 3 March 2014 and reads,
Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms with hail will affect southern parts of England and Wales during Sunday night and Monday. Some of the showers will become aligned into bands producing longer spells of rain, with some snow possible over the higher ground of southwest England and south Wales.
The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel, primarily from localised surface water flooding.
Island Roads reported surface flooding on several roads last night following spring tides and heavy rain.
