The beginning of next month will see the 14th anniversary of the disappearance of Islander Damien Nettles.
Damien went missing on 2nd November 1996 from Cowes High Street.
To mark the devastating event, a bill board campaign in the centre of Newport (from 27th October for ten days) hopes to raise awareness of the efforts to help the family find a resolution to their endless grief.
It’s hoped that the poster, which will feature a picture of Damien and details of the ‘Missing Damien Nettles Website; will encourage anyone who may have knowledge of what happened to come forward.
Can you help?
The bill board campaign has been mostly funded by Damien’s family with support from some local businesses, but they are still £50 short and are appealing for anyone to donate.
If you’d like to know more about how to help visit the ‘Missing Damien Nettles Website, which provides more information behind his disappearance.
Below is the CCTV footage of Damien just before he went missing, he is the man in the middle of the picture who has his back to the camera when taking change out of his pocket.
