This timely reminder in from Andrew Turner’s office about the public meeting about the future of parts of Osborne House, in their own words. Ed
The Island’s MP is reminding Islanders of a meeting about the future of Osborne House this Saturday when they will have the opportunity to influence decisions made by English Heritage about how the former King Edward VII convalescent home will be used.
Andrew Turner has organised the meeting to be held at 2pm on Saturday afternoon in East Cowes Town Hall in co-ordination with English Heritage.
This meeting follows an earlier one organised in January which was held at Osborne and will be a final chance for Islanders to quiz senior English Heritage figures on their plans.
Mr Turner said, “The meeting in January was useful but the attendance was not as high as we hoped so I am grateful to Mark Pemberton of English Heritage for agreeing to hold another. I hope Islanders will come along and take this opportunity to have a say on the future of these rooms – we need the right decision to be made as Osborne is a really important part of the tourism experience of the Island. “
