Calling all kids 12 years old and under!
Your local red squirrel charity, The Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust, is running a competition for children 12-years-old and under.
Think up a suitably quirky name for their new mascot red squirrel for the chance to win a family adoption for a year, a certificate and a red squirrel goodie bag.

If you would like to have a good look at our new mascot to help you to come up with just the right name, you will find this rather striking creature in our shop window in Pyle Street in Newport, where Lloyds Pharmacy used to be.
There is a lot if information about red squirrels in the shop window too, so you’ll also be able to learn more about red squirrels at the same time.
Deadline looming
The closing date for entries is 18th May 2024, so just email your name, age and chosen squirrel name to [email protected].
The winner will be picked using an online randomised picker.
