Navitus Bay’s logo competition winner working well

Proving that it’s always worth entering competitions, this young lady (not from the Island) impressed the design agency involved in the logo competition so much, that she’s been invited for a work placement next year. Ed

Navitus Bay (the offshore wind farm applicants) has today invited Danni Cain to the project team’s design agency studio, Michon Design, to see how her winning design is contributing to the company’s new and distinctive brand identity.

In May 2012, the 18 year old student from New Milton beat a number of other entrants in a competition to create the new corporate logo for the Navitus Bay Wind Park. The competition provided a genuine opportunity for the local community to shape the look and feel of the project, and Danni’s submission was judged to be the clear winner for its creativity and design.

Since winning the competition, Danni’s logo has featured on information presented in meetings the developer Navitus Bay Development Ltd. (Navitus Bay) has held with MPs, local councillors and other stakeholders.

An aspiring designer herself, Danni completed a Graphic Design Foundation qualification at the Arts University College, in Bournemouth and is due to go to University to study graphic design next year.
