New adrenaline-packed fundraising challenges await charity supporters

Age UK Isle of Wight are excited to tell you that this year we are not only promoting a couple of challenges you will have been used to seeing in the past, but we are also promoting some brand new challenges and are looking for some fabulous fundraisers to undertake them and raise some much needed funds for our charity.

Changes to abseiling and skydiving
You will be aware that over the past few years we have promoted an abseil and skydive and these are still available to do this year, but on a slightly different basis, eg, instead of us organising for someone to take part, the emphasis is on the person to sign up directly with the relevant company, pay the associated fee themselves and then support us by fundraising for our charity.

We will of course provide every participant with our fabulous fundraising pack, together with support and advice to help them reach any target they may wish to set themselves.

Great South Run
We are already promoting the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge and we will also now be promoting the Great South Run that takes places just across the Solent in Portsmouth.

Also new for this year
We have selected five great challenges that are run through a company called Global Adventure Challenges which provide an exciting opportunity to undertake a challenge either in the UK or abroad.

Would you like to trek to the summit of Mount Snowdon at night, cycle from London to Amsterdam or even go sledding with huskies?

If so, read on to find out about these and a couple of other great treks taking place in Spain and Morocco.

April special offer
We have just been notified of a Special Offer available on the registration fees of two of the five challenges we are promoting, if you sign up during April 2024.

  • Sahara Desert Trek – £50 off registration fee – was £199 now £149.
  • London to Amsterdam Cycle – £26 off registration fee – was £125 now £99.

Further information regarding all the challenges we are promoting can be found listed on our website together with weblinks which provide full details about each challenge.

Tell your family, friends and associates about the challenges
Could you or someone you know – a friend or family member perhaps, take on one of these great challenges and fundraise for our charity?

Please help us to promote them by telling your family, friends and associates about them and providing the link to our webpage where they can read further information for themselves.

Visit the Age UK Isle of Wight website for more information.
