An old fashion cocktail being poured

New cocktail and wine bar on the cards for Shanklin: Plans submitted to Isle of Wight council

An empty shop on Shanklin High Street is set for a new lease of life as a cocktail and wine bar.

In plans submitted to the Isle of Wight Council, Wesley Malin is applying to change the former Nathalie Clare Hairdressers into a bar, called Malins.

The hairdressers, opposite the United Reformed Church on the High Street, has been closed since 2017.

No structural changes
No structural changes have been made to the building, Mr Malin says in planning documents, but a counter has been installed to serve customers.

The front of the building has been painted and refurbishment has been carried out inside.

Work started on the building in the last few months, but has not been finished.
