OnTheWight has been keeping you up to date about the design of the new Hover that is due to come into service.
Recently the next stage was reached successfully – its first time in … or should that be on, the water.
Griffon Hoverworks, a sister company of Hovertravel within the Bland Group, that designs and build craft in Southampton, released the video below.
Besides showing the first time the craft touches water, it really gives a chance to see the craft outside the factory, bringing an opportunity to better scale it and get an understanding of what it’ll look like.
The design is also clear, after indications from the models we’ve previously shown. The most obvious change is passenger loading/unloading is through the front of the craft, removing the front facing windows.
What are you thoughts?
With the first proper view, what do you think of the new design?
