New pub could open in former Sandown deli

Last updated:

A new pub could be coming to a seaside town on the Isle of Wight.

The building that until recently housed a vegan deli, 13 High Street in Sandown, could soon be turned into a pub.

Emma Addrison is seeking to open a licensed premises at the currently empty building, which was previously home to The Bay Vegan Deli and Coffee House.

What is planned for the building
Her application form states there will be no manufacturing of any drinks, with purchases only from ‘reputable suppliers’.

A Heritage Statement says the building’s stallriser and all painted woodwork would be painted with Farrow and Ball Green Smoke exterior eggshell.

The fascia would be sanded and varnished, before the addition of a sign made of individual wooden letters, painted in black.

No additional lights or illuminated signage would be added.

The applicant has not yet submitted design or planning statements.
