New volunteer initiative by Community Action Isle of Wight to boost local services

Community Action Isle of Wight is a local charity that works across the Island delivering a variety of projects and services.

This includes a focus on providing support, training and advice to other voluntary and community groups.

Community Action Support Team
To help enhance its capacity, it is launching a new CAST or Community Action Support Team which will be a team of volunteers with a variety of specialist skills which will be made available to local groups if they’re in need of support with a specific issue.

First CAST recruit
Michael Paler, a keen supporter of local community work, is the first CAST recruit and is already busy recruiting more skilled and experienced volunteers to help.
