Newchurch Male Voice Choir return from summer break

Wootton Methodist Church will be the Choir’s first concert to kick-off their return after the summer break.

New songs are to be introduced including: Michelle; What a wonderful world and I dreamed a dream.

The concert is at 7.30pm on Saturday 12th October. This concert, is in aid of the IW Hearing Loss Society which is the Choir’s chosen charity for this year (2014).

Off the Island
Later on in October the Choir will travel to Welwyn Garden City/Hatfield in Hertfordshire to team up with the Welwyn Garden City Male Voice Choir for two concerts.

Saturday 26th October at Digswell Village St. Johns Church and on Sunday the 27th at Hatfield House, where the Choir will be visiting the Old Palace of Queen Elizabeth I. (The President of the WGCmvc is Lord Salisbury whose seat is Hatfield House and, opera singer Bryn Terfel is their choir Patron).

November concerts
In November the Choir will be fundraising in aid of Children-in-Need with a concert at St John’s Church Sandown at 7.30pm on Saturday 16th.

Then, on Saturday 21st December, Newchurch Male Voice will be on ‘home turf’ at All Saints Church, Newchurch at 7.30pm for their Carol Concert.

That’s it for this year!

Highlights for next year; Vale of Towy visit us; Godshill Parish Church, a first; All Saint’s Freshwater, Choir not sung in Freshwater for seven or so years!; visiting York to be guests of the York Orpheus Male Voice Choir in May.
